And on to Tynedale

After a fiercely contested district quiz semi final and a superb meal, the team gave their penultimate rehearsal prior to departure. The best yet!

A big thank to President Michael and the members of Tynedale not only for sponsoring Kathryn, but for the warmth and hospitality of a superb evening.

Jarrow with Harton at Bedes World

Last night the team moved on to Colin's sponsoring club, the Rotary Club of Jarrow with Harton whose ranks were swelled by representatives of several other clubs.

Another valuable experience and more valuable lessons learnt. But we are getting there, and the team truly appreciate the value of these preactice presentations.

Get well soon President Mal

Only a matter of hours after his most excellent President's night, Saltburn President, Malcolm Douglas (pictured below in blog of 9th March) was taken ill and it became necessary for him to be admitted to James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough,

Latest information is that he is making a steady improvment and on behalf of the whole team I wish Mal a speedy recovery and send all our love to Sue.

Membership Development meeting at Darlington

Monday 1oth March saw the team (minus Kathryn, who had work committments) give their presentation to the New Members Fellowship Meeting hosted by the Rotary Club of Darlington.

A larger venue and audience provided a different test and again some great learning points will be taken on board. Thanks to Barbara for inviting us, DG Malcolm and Anne for their company over dinner and of course Peter, our loyal supporter.

Saltburn by the Sea - Presidents Night

No presentation tonight. The experience of a formal President's night and some serious team bonding was the object of the exercise.

Thanks to President Malcolm (pictured with the team & DG Malcolm Eaton) for inviting us and also to Paul & Elspeth and Peter & Daphne for helping to host the team. We had a fabulous night.Thank you all,
