An Early Start

An early start today to visit the Rotary Club of Franklin Breakfast Club whose meeting commenced at 6.45am and had about 100 people there. Although there was not time to do our full presentation the team did intoduce themselves and were warmly received. (pictured)
We then moved on to the Poplar Grove Elementary School where each of the team were taken into a class of approx 20 children where they presented the children with a dictionary bought for them by the Franklin Breakfast Club. Couldn't help but think of you Jabba.
We then went to the Maclemore African American Museum where we spent an hour talking to two lovely sisters Miss Mary and Miss Eleanor (pictured)
An afternoon of catch up with photographs and e mails with Mike followed and at 5pm we were handed over from Cool Springs to Franklin Noon. After attending their business meeting we were taken for a meal before Claire and I were taken to Jim and Melodies fabulous home. Here we did some washing and I got wrong from Claire for putting darks in with whites. I attempted to blame my last host Brian for teaching me bad habits but Claire would not believe Brian would do such a thing!!!

Hi Team and Dave,
Sounds like you are having a great time. We are following your blog here in Saltburn and wish you well.

If I remember correctly Lynchburg was a dry county and you could not get to buy or consume the fine produce of Jack Daniels there.

A word of warning, Middlesborough just over in Kentucky, Savannah Tenn. and Pigeon Forge Tenn. are all in dry counties. However Gatlinburg in the Smoky Mountains is a fun place to stay.

Hope you all have a wonderful time.

Give my regards to Dana when you see him.
